Devotees participate a special ‘Arati’ at the midnight and then break their fast, the time when Lord Krishna is believed to have been born. Devotees decorate the temples of Lord Krishna with flowers, lights, etc and praise of Lord Krishna by chanting Sanskrit hymns, singing bhajan and Kirtans with the musical instruments like bell, dholaks etc. Special cradles are installed at temples and a small statue of the “Balgopal” is placed in them.
