At least 6 people have been killed in a blast which took place in Kareli area of Allahabad today.
As per media reports, the blast occured from a crude bomb was kept in a heap of garbage and it was a low intensity explosion.
Kareli is a slum area located in Allahabad.
12 people have also been injured in the blast which is said to have took place at around 4.00 pm in the C-Block of Kareli locality.
It is said that children were playing outside the slums when the blast occured and as many as 3 children have dien in the incident.
Rescue operations are on at the blast site. Forensic team, dog squad, Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the army have been called in to ascertain the cause of the blast . The injured have been moved to the hospital.
