Tropical Storm Aletta forms in the Pacific : Weather Forecast

As per the latest news, Tropical Storm Aletta has formed in the eastern north Pacific region. It is the first named storm of the year 2012 in the region.

The storm has maximum sustained winds early Tuesday near 40 mph (65 kph) with additional strengthening forecast during the next day or so followed by gradual weakening.

The good news is that the storm is swirling far out over the Pacific and is not posing a danger to land.

Currently Tropical Storm Aletta is centered about 640 miles (1,025 kilometers) south-southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico, and is moving west-northwest near 9 mph (15 kph).

The storm’s forecast track shows it going farther out to sea.
