“RIP Madonna” , “Madonna No More”, “Madonna Dead” are the trending words on micro blogging website twitter.
On the day when singer Whitney Houston funeral was carried out, death hoax of Madonna was trending.
Let me tell you, Madonna is very much alive. But that doesn’t stop the Twitterverse from spreading rumors. Fake death rumors on Twitter are becoming about as common as men on Google+.
Anyone looking at the RIPMadonna tweets can easily tell that Madonna isn’t actually dead. However, there appears to be some debate over where the rumors came from. Some are blaming Lady Gaga fans. Some are blaming Will Smith.
Some of Madonna fans blamed Lady Gaga’s fans for circulating the death hoax over the social networking site.
“RIP Madonna?! -__-’ well, how do Ăś guys feel it if another fanbase trend something like RIP Gaga??!!? #StopVirtualHate!!!!!” another tweet read.
Many of the pop diva’s fans obviously looked angry and disappointed.
