Today, 15th January 2012, Annual Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon was held. Kenya’s Laban Moiben won the men’s marathon race whereas Ethiopia’s Netsanet Abeyo won the women’s race.

Today, Indian Marathon Runner Ram Singh Yadav became first Indian to finish the race and with that he gets prize of USD 7,500 $.

He also qualified for the marathon event for the 2012 London Olympics during the 2012 Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon.

He finished the race of 42.195 kms in 2 hours and 18 mins and qualified for Olympics Games.
