A Total Solar Eclipse (Ring of Fire) will take place on Monday, August 21, 2017 and the total phase of the eclipse will be visible across a narrow path spanning all across the United States (USA) from West Coast to the East Coast .

The eclipse will be visible as a partial eclipse across all of North America, northern South America, Western Europe, and some of Africa and north-east of Asia.

This is a rare eclipse, being visible across the entire contiguous United States, the last such event happening in 1918.
